Our Classroom Expectations

Individual Behavior Plan:

This year we will be using a “clip chart” to monitor our behavior and classroom choices. Your child will have a clip in the classroom that they will physically move up or down the chart, depending on their choices. Please keep in mind that your child may not move every single day! In order to move up, students must go above and beyond in their behavior choices. The chart below explains how the clip chart works.

OutstandingStudents who reach this level will be rewarded for their positive choices.
Great Job! Students who continue to make positive choices move up to this level. They are one step closer to having outstanding classroom behavior!
We’re Having a Good Day!Students who make positive choices will receive recognition as they move up the chart.
Ready to LearnEveryone starts the day “Ready to Learn”! Students can “clip up” or “clip down” throughout the day depending on their behavior choices.
Think About ItStudents who receive beyond a warning will move to this level. This serves as a reminder to students to think about the choices they make.
Teacher’s ChoiceStudents who continue to make poor choices will move to this level and will be given a consequence, like a five minute time-out.
Parent ContactStudents who move to this level will have an additional consequence like another time-out and a parent will be contacted that day as well.

I believe that this system will be a positive way for students to monitor their choices and will give them behavior goals to strive for! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me!
Classroom Good Behavior Plan:

I have a chart for adding stars in the classroom for whole class rewards.  I add stars when our class is doing their jobs nicely, or they receive a complement from a specials teacher or in the hallway.  When the chart is at ten, I reward the whole class with a special reward.
